Broadband, Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD)

The $1.2 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), signed into law on November 15th, 2021 allocates $65 billion to broadband.  The largest piece goes to states and territories for last mile broadband infrastructure deployment.

State broadband offices are starting a planning process.  Investors and ISPs are asking "How can we participate?"  The BEAD NOFO, released on May 13th, 2022 provides a robust framework and timelines.
